My Passion Projects

My Work in Financial Education
After the 2008 financial crisis, I decided to start offering a four-week, free, women-specific personal financial management class. I grew these courses into a year-round offering in Missoula and across the state of Montana, working with the Women’s Foundation of Montana and the Women’s Institute for Secure Retirement (WISER) out of Washington, D.C. I am often a guest instructor for the Montana Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs Advanced courses at the University of Montana and served as a faculty member of the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School.
My Community
I co-chaired the Capital Campaign for Missoula’s Food Bank in 2013-2015. I served on the Board of the Women’s Foundation of Montana from 2016-2021, where we work to study, understand, and close the Pay Gap. I’m a member of Powerhouse Montana. And because I couldn’t help myself, I founded a women’s leadership event called The Athena Pack with a group of lady friends.
